Talent Development

Hi,

Today I went to talent development. For my talent development I am doing photography. Today for photography we went outside and took photos around the street. We all had to have a theme. I didn't have a theme I just took photos and made a theme for them. Once we had taking them we uploaded them to Iphoto and

edited them. We then sent them to Katie. For my photo I straightened it, made the colors stand out and cropped it. ( Click the photo to make it bigger)

Today at Enrich.

Hi,

Wow!! It has been a busy little day. We have started our talent developments. Talent Developments are subject areas that you are good at and want to improve on. The choices for this term were Maths, Photography and Drama. I have chosen Photography. For Photography we are going to take static images or images that we are going to edit. Today we thought about what kind of images we would take and where we would take them. For mine I would like to do a Kiwiana theme and take the photos at Oreti Beach.

Bio Poem

Today I learnt how to make a Bio Poem. We read Rosa Parks' Bio Poem. Rosa was a Lady who believed that slaving should be stopped between black and white people. She escaped with children who were being used as slaves and loved them all. Here is my Bio poem.

Week 3,4, at Enrich

Hi,

It's cool to be back at Enrich for the year :) This is what we have been up to.

Week 3

In week 3 we got a chance to go on a field trip around Invercargill. This was about Perspectives

our Concept curriculum for the year. We were very lucky to visit the Water Tower, Art Gallery and The Basilica and we were allowed to go inside them!!

Week 4

We were very lucky again to get spanish lessons. We learnt how to introduce ourselves " My noumare Madison" That means my name is Madison. We saw how words are spelt in spanish ands compared them in English.

It's been a very busy two weeks at Enrich.

End of year reflection

WOW!! I can't believe that it's the last day for Enrich for 2011! Today I have finished my Band rotunda paper scale, it looks horrible but at least it is all to scale! I have also done a reflection on my year at Enrich. ( Click on the photo to make it bigger)

My favorite thing I have done this year at Enrich was MADE awards. I could have improved on my speaking but the end process I am very proud of. I was very frustrated but it was worth all the anger I had!!

I love your determination to complete your scale model band rotunda! It has not been an easy task to complete, but accuracy is everything when creating scale models. Getting your head around pi is huge, well done on the hard work figuring out circumferences, diameters and radii!

Today

Wow today was another full on day. Alana and Darryn are in U.S.A at the momen they will be away for a long time. So in there place are Sandy and Sarah. Today at maths talent development we were making the scales bigger or larger for 2D shapes. We also learnt how to use a compass. We had to measure the radius, diameter and circumference. Then we made a birds eye view of the tote tray area. I didn't quite get to the drawing part but I got all the measurements.
